12/15/17/19/33 WEIGHT (ounces omitted) 21.16 19.75 Pros and cons of the Glock 19 and 26 Pros of the Glock 19 and Glock 26 super customizable Several factors are used for handguns, and are closely related to these two. weapons, down to subjective preferences such as perceived 'superiority'. For example, the Glock 19 is designed to be tougher than the Glock 17, and that's it. For its time, the Glock 19 pushed the envelope in terms of handgun size, making it a viable choice for concealed carry. However, the Glock 26 comes with a larger size difference between it and the Glock 19 than between the Glock 19 and the Glock 17. This is comparable to the growth rate of cell phone screens. it is in the range of 3-4 inches, some of which are known to be very large. Recently, new 'phablets' have made screens in the 4-inch range seem too small - reflecting the evolution of standards, tastes and preferences over time. The Glock 26, with its small form factor, is the best concealed carry option, but the Glock 19 represents the middle ground between the compact and 'full-size' modern versions. The Glock 19 uses a larger sight radius, which is good for accuracy, because the barrel is longer compared to the Glock 26. Also, the Glock 19 better has a lot of support for changes and additions. Glock handguns, as well as standard magazine size models, is what they need. The Glock 19 also has a simple picatinny rail, while the Glock 26 has a unique bevel on the front of the slide that makes it easier to shoot. With a longer mag, the Glock 26 can 'become' a Glock 19, making it a gun that's the same size as most weapons. A Glock 19 can't 'become' a Glock 26 - it can't go back in size. Cons of Glock 19 and Glock 26 Super Compact It seems that this needs to be reformed, what gun owners do not like or do not like about their weapons, down to the original idea. Gun owners come in many different styles and features that they look for when they are 'gun shopping'. The limited ammo capacity of the Glock 26 is one of the weaknesses of this gun - nobody likes a small mag, but that's the price of a heavy duty Glock 26. As with most things, whether or not small is a 'con' comes down to the user. The smartest thing a buyer can do is go to the range and try out these two firearms to see which one is the most comfortable to hold and shoot. For some people, a larger wrist is more comfortable, while others prefer a smaller wrist. This is why the Glock 26 is so popular with female shooters. In terms of concealed carry, some will find that the Glock 19 conceals well, while others will like the small size of the Glock 26 - again, your results may vary. Opinion There's a reason Glock makes and sells a variety of guns, as opposed to just one 'all-purpose' gun. Yes, there is money to be made in buying different types of weapons, but the truth is, not everyone has the same gun - they can be a little different. Depending on needs and preferences regarding size, ammunition, concealed carry, and more, some prefer the Glock 19 and others prefer the Glock 26. Glock gun owners will be well served by testing each of these guns. for yourself before making any purchasing decision - the best way to find out which gun you like is to try both. I love Glock 9mms in almost every configuration, but if I could only have one, it would be the 19. It really is a do-it-all gun. At that time, I can not tell the difference in performance at 20 meters (like 17.) I can manage about 275-280 on the FBI Bulleye Course with 19 in the amount of what I can do. used by 1911 sound in the same drill. 19 is large enough to fit a full-sized handgun, but small enough to fit under a T-shirt in the Raven Eidolon Holster. Given my idea of picking the biggest handgun I can most easily carry for the situation, the Glock 19 fits the bill 99 percent of the time. So what about 26?
Up to 43, the 26 is the smallest 9mm in the Glock lineup. It is a very popular choice for shooting because it is small and can receive magazines from its siblings. It's compact for its size, and most people can get two fingers on the handle. That said, it's controllable and fits well in an ankle holster. In fact, for situations where I have to tuck my shirt in (like a wedding or other formal event) I like a G26 or J-frame in a heel.
So how to decide what to take. First, consider your environment. Can you dress around 19 in your waist? Will the number 19 be a bad day?
Plus 26 equals 19? If you can't figure this out, it's time to hit the range. I recommend comparing the intervals of 3, 5, 7 and 10 yards. Also compare targets at different times, and shoot multiple groups at 25 meters under real time pressure and notice the difference.
