ghost ring glock sights

Ghost Ring Glock Sights - Ghost rings are something I've always been interested in, but never had the chance to mess with - until AMERIGLO recently sent me a pair of Glock Ghost Ring Sights that fit the Glock 17/19 platform. I chose these sights because I don't see them very often and I was curious if they offered any advantages or disadvantages over the traditional three point or post and sights. For reference, I picked up a pair of AMERIGLO GL-325 Ghost Ring Sights and used them on my Glock 19 Gen 4 pistol.

The GL-325 Ghost Ring Sights come in a small package and are very easy to install. If you've never installed Glock sights before, there are YouTube videos online that will show you how to do it safely and effectively, or if you want the easy way out, you can always install a local Glock-certified firearm. drive them right for you.

The tritium inside the rear and front sights were very fresh and glowed in the morning even though the sun hadn't set. Aiding the visibility was a really impressive green line on the front sight, and this one feature I think turned out to be both a plus and a minus depending on the situation. Once the sights are set, it's time to take the rig to the range and see what happens with the cart's angled sights.

Anyone Using Aro Tek Sights?

My trip with my friend Tom was enlightening. In addition to the Glock 19 equipped with tourniquets, we also brought along a Glock 34 equipped with black rear sights and a small red fiber front sight to compare and contrast the two styles. While this isn't an apples-to-apples comparison, it was the best we could do with the equipment we had, and I think it's enough to show the shooter the important and simple difference in style between the two sights.

Although not perfect, a green dot inside the ring means you hit the target – if you tested every point inside the ring, the scatter was under 3″ in diameter (range was ~4-5 yards).

The first thing I noticed when aiming the AMERIGLO Ghost Ring sights was a Leupold Deltapoint Micro red dot sight (but without the added bulk) that looks very similar to what you see. It made me feel like I was able to shoot more reliably, regardless of range. I think what's going on here is that when combined with the scope ring, the light front post acts like a "point" instead of a post, making it easier to shoot with both eyes. Between 3-10 yards I was able to produce very fast rapid fire groups using both sights.

What surprised me and my friend was the reduction in time from draw to target when using both the eye and the ghost rings. Although I had never used them before, unlike traditional sights that require "equal light equal height", the "round circle" sight made pointing the gun and hitting the target feel a little more natural. to hit the target. My best comparison for this is that it looks like a pair of A2 iron sights on your pistol, but with a brighter front sight that allows for faster aiming than a normal sight configuration.

The Glock 17: A Pistol For Fighting

At close ranges (looking in a self-defense situation) the AMERIGLO Ghost Ring sights performed admirably. I was able to get a quick and consistent draw and aim with an acceptable amount of accuracy at that distance. But after these intervals, I found a reduced gain. At distances beyond 10 yards, I find that traditional tent and post sights are more accurate. What's happening here is that the rear sights provide a 3rd point for your foresight post. Ghost ring sights have two rear tritium dots for reference to the front dot, but this system is not as accurate as a conventional picture sight.

Overall, I would say that this would be a great sight for sports like a production grade steel or pistol. As with good sights and firearms, you should probably buy a pair, set them up, and use them in your daily driving or home defense situations before you train with them, as they may have the pros and cons I've outlined here. it may or may not happen to you

The biggest takeaway I've found here is that they may not be practical for long-range engagement when up close, but scope mounts can provide many of the benefits of a red dot sight without worrying about battery life. Or the extra large that comes with them. I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions about ghost sites. Have you ever used them? Are you planning to use them in a different scene configuration? Thanks again for stopping by to read TFB.
